3 beautiful interiors of Indian restaurants

Today i have 3 of some of the best interiors of restaurants in India because who doesn't like to go to fancy restaurants right! Restaurants these days charge quite a lot so why not give a bit to places with nice ambience, makes sense?! Restaurants not only enhance your dining experience but also prove to be a milestone of your life wherein you have precious memories with your friends and family! The showcased restaurants explores the different styles of interiors. Lets start with the first restaurant-

1. Mannrangi- This 3000 sq. ft. restaurant in Goregaon, Mumbai, is designed by Saniya Kantawala I would say this restaurant is a masterpiece when it comes to interior design! Its done up in eclectic style of interior design. It showcases Indian art and architecture. It is an assortment of different colours, fabrics and antiques. The concept for the design of the space was to blend modern India with its traditional roots. The space is appealing to the eyes involving a lot of colour play, fabric mixtures and stylish furniture. The restaurant also has a limited use of moldings and carvings. Fabrics such as linen, cotton, jute and polyester are used. To portray India's rich history, bright and various colours are used. Colours balance the space visually. The furniture used gives an interesting get up to the space.

'Cozy nooks and corners with artefacts and books about and from India and a combination of earthy tones sum up the warm vibe of the restaurant. ' Indian teak and oak wood is used for furnitures with cane and rattan.

Kantawala says, "Initially we wanted no colour in the space, but realised that it would diversify the interiors. Colour is almost synonymous with India and having none would not do justice to the restaurant, especially since the place is called Mannrangi."

2. The second restaurant (that goes by the name of 'Plural') that i have for you guys is also in Mumbai, Kala Ghoda - to be precise. The space is designed by Tejal Mathur Design Studio. It is a 1500 sq. ft. space. The restaurant can be seen covered in textured wallpapers and in mint green paint which also continues to be the colour of the furniture.

“Taking cues from a collage of graphic imagery inspired by the contoured terrain of paddy fields, verdant greens and a connection to the earth, we used terracotta furniture, oversized rattan lamps and a fresh mint colour to encapsulate the feeling of sitting in a long veranda gazing out at the harvest,” explains Tejal Mathur.

“Architecturally, the windows were a must and for that we had to rope in a structural consultant on how to go about it since it is a heritage structure.”

“Plural, as the name suggests, is the symbol of inclusiveness, multilayering and a promoter of disparate people to create different communities”

3. The third restaurant is in Bangalore, designed by Studio Anoma has a very impressive decor along with the street food offered. The restaurant brief was that to have an easy-going vibe. “We were looking to make a place which represented the old and the new but in a modern setting, for today's millennials." adds the founder.

The floor tiles have been custom made to create a strong base which would stand out.

“Street Storyss has very mellow and soft colours which help us connect individual elements together. The pockets of green help us mute some of the golden hues which would otherwise have been considered excessive,”
